This directory is not for human eyes

It holds a list of SHA-256 hashes that Paul has used to signal his verification of a claim—such as “Paul recommends Charlie Austin” (paraphrased)—and others.

A page that brought you here should not have contained a hyperlink to click. A verify:… or vfy:… line is not a URL to a page for human eyes. It is a precise clue for the Chrome extension that can verify claims—or, when printed, a paper clue indicating that verification is possible with an iPhone or Android app. Humans are supposed to read it quickly, but only toward a quick decision "I would trust this it the verification checkmark/tick comes back as verified". There's also a caveat with that last - I'm just a guy and not official in anyway, but other uses of Live Verify have a chain to prove that the claim made is trustworthy because a government stants at the end of that chain. Then, I guess, it's whether you trust your government or not.
